About Us
About our club
Chartered on April 22, 1983, Soroptimist International of Moreno Valley is part of Soroptimist International of the Americas, Inc.® Golden West Region. Loosely translated, the name Soroptimist (pronounced suh-rop-tuh-mist) means "best for women," and that's what Soroptimists aim to be: women at their best, working to help other women to be their best. Soroptimist is particularly concerned with providing women and girls access to education, as this is the most effective path to empower women and girls to reach their full potential. A 501(c)(3) organization that relies on charitable donations to support its programs, Soroptimist also powers LiveYourDream.org®, an online community that offers volunteer opportunities in support of women and girls.
Meetings
Our club meets the first four Wednesdays from September through June for a one-hour breakfast meeting at Brandon's Diner, located at 24626 Sunnymead Blvd., Moreno Valley, CA. The 3rd Wednesday, at 7:00 a.m., alternates between a guest speaker presentation or Soroptimist Orientation and Leadership Training (SOLT) for members. The 4th Wednesday is a friendship meeting at 7:30 a.m. for members to bond with each other through informal interactions.
